JIM ELLIS
Managing Director
Jim started his career at sea with Shell in the late 70’s. Worked in the offshore sector for 10 years in various roles from 1994 and became Shore based Manager for an offshore operation in Sakhalin Island, Russia, from 1999 – 2003.
Following Russia, he worked on the construction of the LPG FPSO Sanha in Japan, including commissioning lead for the gas trials and then as start-up/operations manager in Angola. He resumed his role as Fleet Marine Supt. in 2005 for a fleet of 16 F(P)SOs (Floating production, storage and offloading). In 2007 he joined the SBM gas group as Product/Business Development Manager, involved in the design of floating Regas and LNG FPSO’s
He joined BP as their Global Fleet manager in Feb. 2008, managing a fleet of 55 owned/operated LNG, LPG, product and crude tankers and 57 time-chartered vessels and later went to the USA to take up a role as President of BP shipping (USA) and Manager of Marine and Engineering for the Marine and Technical team of BP shipping.
Following a short spell as director of FLNG for Excelerate Energy he returned to SBM as Director of operations for their fleet of 17 FPSO’s
In 2016 he moved to Malaysia to take up the role of Senior Vice President, Operations, in charge of their FPSO fleet (11 units).
Currently running his own consultancy company in the UK, proving advice to International NGO’s, FPSO operators and investors and alternative energy and technology providers.
DAVID MCLEAN
Production Specialist and Management
An accomplished international board member and senior manager with over 30 years of industry experience and excellent qualifications allied to an extensive knowledge of all aspects of oil and gas operations. Currently working in a consultancy role, having previously been employed as General Manager for FPSO & FSO Operations UK and Malta.
Prior to this, held the role of Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the performance of international shore-bases and offshore production units, particularly from HSE, bottom line P & L and commercial perspectives, with a historic annual turnover of USD 400 million. Also created and managed the global production operations support group, with a strong drive towards continuous performance improvement.
Intimate knowledge of operations throughout complete life cycle, from FEED stage through to final decommissioning. Also fulfilled the role of Transition Manager for two FPSO divestments. Previously Operations Manager for two FPSO operations, one through the EPIC stages of the first deepwater FPSO project in Malaysia, the other a large FPSO producing offshore Brazil.

CMIOSH
A Chartered Safety & Health Practitioner (CMIOSH) and Senior Level Manager with extensive North Sea and international experience in Drilling, LPG, FPSOs, MOPU, FSO and Floating Liquefaction Regasification & Storage Unit (FLRSU) projects and operations. Highly experienced in all phases of hydrocarbon asset development and with specific quantifiable experience in Corporate HSSEQ management, in-country, joint venture, projects, production, life-cycle operations including decommissioning FPSO’s and redeployments. Efficient and effective leader that has gained extensive experience working in a multitude of different international working environments and remote locations. A health & Safety conscious individual who is highly experienced with the associated protocols and processes required to carry onshore & offshore operations in an industry safe manner.
